Munco is a distinguished Maldivian producer, playwright, director, actor, presenter, consultant, and choreographer with over two decades of contribution to the performing arts and entertainment industry. A graduate of the Queensland University of Technology (QUT), he holds a Bachelor of Arts (Drama), completed at Lasalle.SIA – College of the Arts, Singapore.

Munco is the founding Artistic and Managing Director of Theatre Mirage (since 2000), where he has played a pioneering role in shaping contemporary theatre in the Maldives. His creative leadership has nurtured talent, produced acclaimed stage productions, and strengthened the country’s performing arts landscape. Since 2017, he has also served as Artistic Director of Orkeyz Inc, continuing to expand his influence in artistic programming and large-scale entertainment productions.

In addition to his theatre work, Munco is an Art and Entertainment Consultant for Siyam World (since 2022) and Villa Haven (since 2024), where he curates and advises on creative direction, performance concepts, and entertainment strategy within the hospitality sector.

A recipient of the Presidential National Award (2006) and the National Youth Award (1999), Munco’s career reflects excellence, innovation, and dedication to the arts. Through mentorship, he shares insights on creative leadership, storytelling, performance excellence, and building sustainable careers in the creative industries.

His journey stands as a testament to passion, artistic discipline, and the transformative power of the performing arts.
