                Uza. Mariyam Inasha


                Mariyam Inasha is a licensed lawyer in the Maldives, holding higher right of audience before the Supreme Court and HighCourt. She is also a licensedPublic Notary, a credential granted by the Maldives Bar Council in 2020. Inasha holds an LLM in Commercial and Corporate Law from Queen Mary University of London and a Bachelor of Shari’ah and Law with Honours from Maldives National University (MNU).


                Inasha is acertified Associate Arbitrator, Negotiator, Digital Dispute Resolution Specialist (DDRS), and Online Dispute Resolution Specialist, accredited by ADR ODR International. She is also anaccredited mediator at the Singapore International Mediation Institute (SIMI), recognized by the Civil Mediation Council (CMC) UK and the International Mediation Institute (IMI).


                With over 10 years of legal experience, Inasha has cultivated expertiseacross Commercial and Corporate Law, Employment, Family, and Land Law, as well as Public Interest Law. She has litigated complex cases, including class actions in employment and public interest matters, and conducts public legal awareness sessions.


                Beyond her professional practice, Inasha is dedicated to social impactand community empowerment. She co-founded the non-governmental organization Wings in 2023, providing legal aid, awareness, education, and practical training to help individuals build confidence and navigate real-world challenges. She is also a co-founder of the Public Interest Law Centre (PILC), where she served as a board member from 2019 to 2024, supporting pro bono legal services for socially and economically marginalized groups.


                Inasha works extensively in family law and domestic violence cases,focusing on empowering individuals and communities through practical guidance, legal education, and hands-on support. Her approach emphasizes resilience, understanding, and the capacity for individuals to engage confidently in addressing personal and social challenges.
